Chlorambucil is a classic oral alkylating that was the standard initial treatment of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) for many years. Today it is preferred for the elderly patients for being well tolerated with minimal nausea and no alopecia, as found with the newer drugs and also for the convenience of oral dosing.
